Action-packed fun combined with Biblical instruction describes Gateway Kids. At Gateway Kids, we believe that children have the ability to grow in their spiritual life and that every Sunday we are “Making Lasting Impressions…” We strive to be a place where kids can connect with other kids, connect with big kids (adult volunteers) and connect to Christ.
Kids Stuff - Nursery (Sundays 9:30 & 11)
Kids Stuff Nursery provides excellent care for even our youngest attendees. Each Sunday morning you can rest assured that while you are serving and/or attending worship your little one will be prayed over and sang to. In addition, our walkers and toddlers are told through words and sight a simple Bible story each month. For added peace of mind, pagers are available with request up check in. Our infant/toddler classrooms are located in the children’s wing, just steps away from the auditorium.
Kids Stuff – Early Childhood (Sundays 9:30 & 11)
Kids Stuff Early Childhood is a place where preschoolers and kindergarteners want to be. These kids are surrounded by our loving volunteers who want to provide the best for your little one. Their time begins in their assigned classroom where they will enter to activity centers around the room. They will then transition to large group time where they will experience an energetic praise and worship time with HK2 and have an interactive Bible story. Upon returning to their rooms, kids will have several activities that reinforce the Bible theme for the day. Our underlying nugget that reoccurs each week is that God Made Me, God Loves Me and that Jesus wants to be my forever friend. Our Pre-K/Kindergarten classrooms are located in the children’s wing, just steps away from the auditorium.
Kids Rock – 1st through 4th Elementary (Sundays 9:30 & 11)
Kids Rock provides a fun, interactive learning experience for all 1st – 4th grade children at all Sunday morning service times. We begin with an activity that helps us get to know each other followed by a kid-style praise & worship time with His Kroo. After praise and worship, the kids will experience interactive and relevant drama & Bible stories. Our closure will follow with kids breaking into small groups that will drive home the truth for the day. Kids Rock will focus on the virtues of wisdom, contentment, and trust in God. Our underlying theme throughout our teachings this year is that I need to make the right choice, I can trust God no matter what, and I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
Energy abounds with a creatively energized Bible study lesson, followed by an intentional huddle time that applies the Bible truth of the lesson to each child's life! Our Kids Rock classrooms are located at the end of our children’s wing adjacent to the outside playground.
Forge – 5th Elementary (Sundays 11)
Forge provides a preteen, interactive learning experience for 5th grade children during the 11 hour. We begin with an ice breaker activity to help us get to know each other, followed by a Bible Study Lesson and prayer time. Forge takes kid’s issues and uses the Bible so that they can apply it to their ‘Real Life’ on Monday.
Special Blessings – 1st through 5th grade (Sundays 9:30 & 11)
Special Blessings provides children with special needs an assigned caregiver during the Sunday morning experience during service times. We strive to create an environment where parent’s of children who have special needs can relax and go to service while their children are in great hands with our Special Blessings volunteers. Abundant Ark Children’s Center – PreK 2 through Kindergarten (Weekdays 9-1pm)
Abundant Ark Children’s Center provides a quality preschool and kindergarten program which serves the Bay Area Community. This center offers an exceptional educational program that goes beyond the traditional Mother’s Day Out Program. With low student/teacher ratios, creative learning curriculums, electives which include Spanish/music/physical education – your child will experience quality enrichment to their educational rode to learning. Guitar Brigade (every Tuesday @ 7:00pm in C119) – All guitarists and/or vocalist who enjoy making a joyful noise are invited to come and ‘jam’ on Tuesdays with the Guitar Brigade. The Guitar Brigade sings for our Kids Stuff on Sunday
His Kroo & HK2 Planning Meetings (every 4th Sunday @ 12:30pm) – His Kroo & HK2 monthly planning/devotional meeting held in C119 & C120.
